Veteran Ghanaian gospel musician, Amy Newman born Amy Brew, has finally made public the actual cause of the long break in her musical career.
The ‘Tsie Me Mobor Su’ hitmaker in an interview with The Nation’s Servant on Accra 100.5 FM disclosed that her involvement with some group of friends at her place of worship was the main reason she went off the music scene for a while.
According to the celebrated singer, the company she found herself in some years back drew her farther away from God and she felt less-worthy to be a gospel singer. She refused to disclose the name of the church but hinted it’s located in Takoradi.
“One lesson my backslide taught me is not to rely on man but God.”, she stressed.
“We should be as wise as the serpent and follow the voice of God as his second coming is near.”, she concluded.
The seasoned musician is set to launch a comeback single SIESIE ME on the 1st of December at the Redemption Power Ministries, Sakaman-Accra.
