We Are Yet To Decide On Bringing Shatta Wale And Stonebwoy Back To VGMA – Charterhouse CEO, Theresa Ayoade

The issue of bringing back dancehall king Shatta Wale and his brother, Stonebwoy may be reconsidered as the CEO of Charterhouse admits her outfit is yet to decide on the two.

Recall Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were banned and stripped of their awards following the messy altercation at last year’s event which saw the “Nominate” hitmaker pull out a gun in the process.

“We haven’t had an internal conversation around that yet,” she said when she was asked about the issue of bringing back the two most wanted artists to the show.

Speaking at the Arts Edition of Beyond the Lockdown, she spoke of plans made by Charter House to host the VGMA in August as restrictions on social gatherings have been eased by the president.

“When we are ready to make a full announcement on the VGMAs, we will come up with a full statement on everything,” she said.

Stonebwoy who was present on the show said that the ban has not affected his business. According to him, he’s happy he is done with the court case around him pulling a gun at the event and also gives thanks for his absence which gas allowed others to shine.

Quote:

“Some artists have come to say it was a blessing in disguise for them because some of us are not on the wards with them because that is the only way they can prosper

“So it gives me joy to be a blessing to people even though it was supposed to bring me down,”

Recall Epixode and other artists claimed the ban of Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale has paved the way for him to be recognized and awarded. The “Anloga Junction” hitmaker is in no hurry to jump onto the VGMA stage as he has left the decision to the event organizers.
