WATCH: Shatta Wale & Stonebeoy ‘Reunite’ in Kumasi

After weeks of name-calling against each other, Dancehall artistes, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale ‘reunited‘ in Kumasi over the weekend.

The acts joined their colleagues signed to Zylofon Media in the capital of the Ashanti Region for the celebration of Akwasidae – marked by the people and chiefs in the region.

They met the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, prior to the headlining of a concert.

The two artistes have been going against each other – especially in the past couple of years over who is better, has a bigger following and international acclaim.

The rivalry between the two artistes has extended to their fan base.

In early 2018, when Wale joined Stonebwoy as a label mate on  Zylofon Music, fans wondered what would happen to the rivalry.

“Right now, you hear say people dey think; ‘so what you go do Stonebwoy?’. You see Stonebwoy, for here [Zylofon] he be my brother but for town he be my enemy.” stated Wale to his cheering fans when he was officialy unveiled.

Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has descended heavily on colleague, Stonebwoy over comments made by the latter.

In a recent interview, Stonebwoy said that he was “lyrically” and “musically” better than Wale.

The comments seems to have incensed Wale who unleashed his fury on Stonebwoy on Facebook Wednesday, March 21 calling him “One leg cripple” and “senseless.”

“See villager with pride ..One leg cripple who doesn’t pity himself ..so Ghana you call this humble and respect ..apakye nyansanii ..ur sheda like my new watchman waiting on his first nite to collaborate with my area mosquitoes..You don’t understand entertainment go into ur begging business..the most foolish and senseless cripple ever….Humble my foot…..fucker dat !!”

In another development, Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale can’t claim to be a better artiste than colleague Stonebwoy because he (Wale) “can’t even play live band for 10 minutes,” says the latter.

Stonebwoy told JOYS NEWS’ MzGee, Wale’s claim to have “murdered” him is untrue.

“Shatta Wale can never murder me, he’s never lyrically good like me and he knows that. I murdered him in 2010 at Labadi and won a motorbike. I sold that motorbike after some months, so he knows,” explained Stonebwoy.

“Lyrically, I’m the baddest in Africa, reggae artiste lyrically the baddest. The most internationally known so Shatta don’t yob or else when we open the stage, you know. You can’t even play live band for 10 minutes and keep on so don’t yob.”
