The sudden ‘death’ of Castro was a blessing to Sarkodie’s career – Archipalago

US-based Ghanaian social media influencer and former SM member, Archipalago has said Castro’s death helped to boost views of Sarkodie’s ‘Adonai’ song which has currently accumulated 70M views on YouTube, making it a milestone for any Ghanaian artist.

He tweeted: “The sudden death of Castro played a major part in the #Adonai views on YouTube! No disrespect to Bidi tho!”

Archipelago added by saying he’s not in any way discrediting Sarkodie but when Castro’s death was captured by foreign media outlets, those who don’t know who he was, watched the music video to know him.

Don’t me wrong!!! If I’m not mistaken! That video was the last Castro did before his untimely death and it came during that mysterious death. People who dont know him viewed the video just to recognize him and that played a major role in the YouTube views till now #Adonai.”

Ghanaian musician, Theophilus Tagoe popularly called Castro disappeared (drowned) on July 6, 2014, after he and his friends Janet Bandu and Back Stars player Asamoah Gyan went to Ada to have fun and swim.
