Date Rush: It was love at first sight but I don't love him anymore – Freelove speaks on rejection

After her botched attempt to win the heart of Ignatius, Freelove has hinted that even though she was hurt, she has moved on.

Ignatius and Freelove were part of the hottest show on television currently, Date Rush on TV3 which offers singles a platform to find love.

During last Sunday’s edition, the very confident Ignatius, who had the ladies drooling over him, declined the option to go out with any of the ladies including Freelove who was hell-bent on winning her dream man’s attention.

Speaking about the incident in an interview on TV3’s New Day with Johnnie Hughes, Freelove revealed that she is no longer into Ignatius.

“I used to [like Ignatius] but now, I don’t like him back anymore,” she said.

Asked what changed, the pretty damsel quizzed “how can you disappoint me like that?” stressing: “It was love at first sight and then now I just got disappointed.”

When Johnnie Hughes probed further to find out if she will accept Ignatius if he comes back for her, Freelove responded in the negative.

“I just felt too hurt. You know when you get hurt too much, it just destroys everything…everything is broken…,” she said.

Freelove, who has been in two relationships so far, relied on the Bible, her family, and friends to get through the pain of being rejected.

“I have friends who talk to me, my family supports…I read the Bible a lot… Although I am over him, I’m still healing.”

This will be Freelove’s second love at first sight and this one, “I really wanted to go for it because I was tired of ‘you are too fine not to have a boyfriend’…I really needed this,” but she has learned her lessons and she will take her time to get the right man.

As pretty as she is, one may think men will be bombarding her with proposals but that is not the case.

She revealed that she doesn’t get men proposing to her.

“You are too fine not to have a boyfriend,” she said the men keep telling her.

There is a section of the populace who strongly believe that Date Rush is staged. That, in fact, is not the case.

Freelove stressed that she was not acting and that she likes dark-skinned guys who are business-minded and smart.

She, however, believed that after answering Ignatius’s question, she felt disrespected because “he didn’t know what he wanted…I’m really sure about it.”
