Nigerian afrobeat star, Burna Boy has won the 63rd Grammy Award nod for best ‘Best Global Album’ with ‘Twice as Tall’.

In his acceptance speech, Burna Boy said: “Africa is in the house… This is a big win for my generation of Africans all over the world. This should be a lesson to everyone that no matter where you are and no matter what you plan to do, you can achieve it, no matter where you from. You are a king. Look at me now. Grammy Award-winning Burna Boy”

This is Burna Boy’s second Grammy nomination. His album, ‘Twice as Tall’ was nominated for the newly named ‘Global Music’ award. Last year, his album ‘African Giant’ was nominated in the same category that was previously known as ‘World Album’.
Burna Boy faced competition from Antibalas, Bebel Gilberto, Anoushka Shankar, and Tinariwen.
