Koo Ntakra

Born Isaac Akuffo, stage name Koo Ntakra, meaning ‘Feathers’ in his native language, is a hiplife and hip hop artiste, rapping in his mother tongue of Akuapem, considered to many as one of the most ‘multifaceted young rapper’ due to my versatility in the music circles.
He is considered one of the major proponents of the ‘Akuapem Rap’. Koo Ntakra soared to the lime light after being crowned the Champion of the annual ‘MTN Hitmaker Reality TV music contest, beating over thousands who entered into the competition in 2013.
In 2013, after winning the reality show, he was billed on stage for the annual ‘Legends & Legacy’ Concept which celebrated high life Legend AB Crentsil. Koo went on that year to record with Nigeria based artiste WondaBoy, which featured on his debut album, Akuaba. His collaborations with top artiste, and performances gained him opportunity to share the same stage with international arts including; Davido, WizBoy & WondaBoy from Nigeria, as well as Sarkodie, Samini, D-Black, Shatta Wale and many more from Ghana.
In November 2014, Koo Ntakra officially released his first studio album, titled ‘AKUABA'(Priceless).
Mr. Feathers with his large fan base in his homeland of Koforidua, is soaring high and looking forward to many greater success.

The success story of my debut album gained me nominations in the 2015 Ghana Music Awards, Unsung Category, as well as the ‘Most Promising Art in the Africa Youth Choice Awards the same year.

In 2016, Ntakra made his first ever international appearance when he represented Ghana at the Midem Festival as part of the 12th Finalist for the Midem Artist Accelerator showpiece.
